Who doesn’t love a curry?!

Just because you have kids doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favourite flavours. It’s actually a great opportunity to add new and different flavours to your little one’s diet. Gagging or Choking?

I’m sure everyone has had that freak out moment, when starting solids, of your baby gagging? What did you do? Did you rush over and slap them on the back? Stick your finger in their mouth to remove the piece of food? Or did you calmly sit and watch to see if your baby could clear the food themselves? When we see a baby gag, our first thought is that she must be in danger of choking. However, that is why we have the gag reflex, to push food away from the opening to the throat thus preventing it obstructing the airways or choking. Continue reading

Ok, hands up if you have a child with an allergy? Me!

It was always going to happen as it runs through my family and I had chronic eczema when I was a kid. My Mum was well ahead of her time and helped us control our allergies by cutting out the foods that were causing the worst reactions. Even to the point of us having a goat in our backyard.
